Its generally found in industrial settings, such as building sites, workshops and factories. The transformer provides you with an extra layer of protection by isolating your tools from the mains power supply. This prevents overloading and minimises the chances of electric shock. Its enclosed in a high-quality glass-fibre-reinforced plastic enclosure (GRP), so its strong but light in weight. Theres a built-in thermal-magnetic trip, which reduces the likelihood of overload. The transformer conforms with RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU, which means it contains minimal hazardous materials.
